Portrait commissions are accomplished through a combination of life sittings and photographs. The first session is a collaborative effort with the client and serves to help her to understand the environment in which her subject is most comfortable or appears to best advantage. The decision is made as to indoor or outdoor setting, surroundings, and wardrobe. At that time a series of photographs are taken and an initial color study done. Most of the painting is completed in the studio, with one or two last sittings scheduled for final adjustments. Fees are due half at signing of contract, another quarter when pose is decided and initial drawing is completed on canvass, and the remainder on completion. NOT INCLUDED IN PRICE: Framing, shipping/crating, out of town travel/living expenses and sales tax if required. PRICES ON REQUEST |
